The Drag King
Corner.
Nash Hill has been a part of the drag king community for more than 25 years. Introduced to the art form in 2000, Nash began performing in 2004 as Hans Sparrow, quickly becoming a familiar face on Sydney’s queer performance scene.
As Hans Sparrow, Nash performed at iconic venues including Sly Fox and ARQ, as well as Mardi Gras parties and Sydney events. Hans also wrote a column for Sydney Star Observer, opposite drag queen Maxi Shield. In 2006, Hans Sparrow was honoured with a DIVA Award as Sydney’s Favourite Drag King.
In 2010, Nash began producing drag king shows at venues including The Red Rattler, The Vanguard, The Imperial Hotel and The Oxford Hotel. Through this work, Nash helped expand kinging beyond the traditional pub and club circuit and into dedicated cabaret spaces, creating nights for audiences to come specifically to experience, appreciate and celebrate drag kings in an intimate setting.
After stepping away from the spotlight in 2015, Nash remained deeply connected to the art form through attending performances and supporting the community.
Today, Nash is a neurodivergent multidisciplinary artist returning to the stage and creative practice with a diverse mix of performance, writing, podcasting segments, visual art and a new drag king character, Dragos. Across all of this work, Nash is committed to championing, celebrating and uplifting the Australian drag king art form and community.

Step behind the curtain with the Fuccbois — the drag king boy‑band musical turning toxic masculinity into comedy gold. Creator Bridie Connell and the cast share how satire, gender play and sheer chaos shaped this hit show, fresh from its Edinburgh and London tour and heading to Sydney.
