Blues legend passes at age 89.

The man who had been deemed "King of the Blues", B.B King, passed away late last week in Las Vegas. He was 89.

King was a legendary guitarist who was a game changer, bringing blues from the margins to the mainstream. King toured well into his 80s and this drive was proven time and time again with a long list of awards – Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, a Presidential Medal of Freedom and a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Inspiring generations, John Mayer, Eric Clapton and Sheryl Crow are just some of the talent over the years said to have been influenced by B.B. King.

Ringo Starr tweeted in his honour;

B.B. King's life was documented well and turned into a successful fim, "B.B. King: The Life of Riley".

Our prayers go out to his family and friends.
