Australia’s First National Drag King Community Awards
Welcome
The Australian Drag King Community Awards have been established to celebrate and recognise the extraordinary talent, creativity and contribution of Drag Kings across Australia.
For decades, Drag Kings have entertained audiences, challenged expectations, created community and expanded conversations around gender, performance and identity. Yet despite their cultural contribution, dedicated national recognition has remained limited.
Produced by LOTL Lounge, these awards provide a platform to celebrate the artists, events, venues and advocates helping drive Australian Drag King culture forward.
Why These Awards Matter
Drag Kings have long been creating spaces for self-expression, storytelling and gender-diverse performance.
They entertain, inspire, challenge stereotypes and build community.
The Australian Community Drag King Awards were established to ensure that contributions are recognised and celebrated.
Presented by LOTL Lounge
