Have You Seen This Tribute To The Orlando Massacre Victims?49 celebrities honour the 49 victims of the Orlando Massacre in this new Stop The Hate video.

The Human Rights Campaign has released an 18-minute video honouring the 49 victims of the Orlando Massacre at Pulse Nightclub.

The video is directed by Glee’s Ryan Murphy and Ned Martel and features 49 actors, directors and entertainment leaders including Sofia Vergara, Matt Bomer, Caitlyn Jenner and Lada Gaga, telling the individual stories of the victims of the attack.

“The 49 heroes who lost their lives on 12 June were brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, friends and neighbours, boyfriends and girlfriends, husbands and wives. They were mostly young and mostly Latin. But above all, they were human beings who were loved, and who had hopes and dreams for long, full lives,” said HRC President Chad Griffin.

“It has been only a few short weeks since we lost 49 people to a deadly act of hatred. It is our responsibility to keep their memories alive and honour their legacies by ensuring our nation acts to end anti-LGBTQ hate and gun violence. We are incredibly grateful to Ryan Murphy, Ned Martel and the 49 artists who came together to create this beautiful and lasting tribute.”

The video features on the HRC new website Stop The Hate, which also provides news and resources about stemming the tide of hate violence against the LGBTQ community.

The HRC is urging everyone to take action in three ways: Support the victims of the Orlando Massacre by donating at healorlando.org, contact American Senators to demand the introduction of gun laws and watch and share the video.
