Each year the Sydney Frontrunners LGBT running group organises an event known as the ‘Little Black DressRun’. It generates much-needed funding for Camp Goodtime, which is organised by Sydney Children’s Hospital Foundation for children living with HIV

You don’t have to run, you can walk or do a high-heeled totter around Darling Harbour.  The frock can be as demure or lavish as you like – black is good but don’t be too frightened of the fashion police.  Resident superstar hostess Joyce Maynge will warm you up with her special calisthenics and after the run she’ll deliver prizes for the best dressed team, best dressed individual and top fundraisers.  Set up your fundraising page at:

Although its always a lot of fun, the real focus of the Little Black Dress Run is raising funds for Camp Goodtime.

Children living with HIV in Australia are a minority for whom living is a fight against the odds of this disease. Once contracted, there is no cure; current HIV treatments can only improve quality of life. For these children, Camp Goodtime may be the best chance each year of being a ‘normal kid’ without the stigma and negativity which can accompany living with HIV.

In 2013 the charity run broke previous records and raised $51,000!  In 2014 our goal is to raise even more for Camp Goodtime.

The event is part of the annual Mardi Gras Festival and the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority ‘Month of Love’.
