Mardi Gras welcomes fit new partnerWorld-leading health club, Fitness First, has today announced its sponsorship as a major partner of the 2014 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.

Fitness First’s Head of Marketing, Anthony McDonough, said that the organisation was proud to be associated with the festival and to support the LGBTQI community.

“Being involved as a major partner of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is an incredible opportunity for Fitness First,” Mr McDonough said.

We have an exceptionally diverse member base and workforce, several of whom are a part of the LGBTQI community. We must show our support across a broad spectrum of community activities and share our fitness expertise with everyone.”

Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras CEO Michael Rolik said that the Mardi Gras team are thrilled to have Fitness First on board as their official fitness partner.

As part of their sponsorship, Fitness First will have an exciting presence at Fair Day, hosting several dynamic movement workouts and fitness challenges in true Mardi Gras style.

In addition, critical members of Fitness First’s Senior Management Team and support office, club staff and members will proudly participate in next year’s Parade, with a very cool float to look out for.

In the lead-up to the Mardi Gras celebrations, Fitness First will be announcing more details for several promotions, including:

  • ·  Short-term memberships for international visitors to Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras
  • ·  The opportunity to win a place with the Fitness First team on the Parade float
