Lesbians Who Tech host third European summit

This unique technology conference is the only largescale event focused on increasing visibility and tech participation amongst two historically underrepresented communities: women and LGBT people.

Hosted by Amazon and Facebook, Lesbians Who Tech seeks to empower the current and next generation of queer women leaders through increased visibility, both to each other and LWT colleagues, and to attract more women and lesbians to the technology industry.

Themes at this year’s event include VR, A.I., machine learning, leadership and more. Bringing together not only brilliant tech leaders but women who are fighting for immigration rights, LGBT rights, reproductive rights, women’s rights and racial and social justice.

Organisation PWC describes the event as having a: “Positive, unique environment.”

“It’s a refreshing change for people, especially in a male-dominated environment. The energy of the conference, it’s different from anything else. It really sets the conference apart. Both thought-provoking and thoughtful”, the company added.

Attendees will have the chance to hear over 15 speakers, half of whom are people of colour, engage with tech, corporate recruiters and industry leaders, as well as attend sessions on a variety of topics cutting across technology, diversity, finance, media and more.

The event takes place on the 10-11 November
