Jurassic Lounge Queer culture nightThis month Jurassic Lounge delivers a plethora of fabulous Queer entertainment.

Jurassic Lounge has put together a huge line-up for Tuesday 23rd October which will celebrate Sydney’s spectacular LGBT culture and see our city’s best queer performers getting artsy amidst the tribal masks, quirky taxidermy, science specimens and dinosaur fossils of the Australian Museum’s permanent collection.

Performers and activities will include:

The Stage Door Johnnies
Straight from Las Vegas, where they shared the stage with Liza Minnelli and Alan Cumming, and winners of Best Group in the 2011 Burlesque Hall of Fame, The Stage Door Johnnies re-imagine the historic art of strip-tease and are bringing their distinctive, bare-all blend of comedy, live singing, dancing, and naked men to Jurassic Lounge.

Brendan Maclean (Emcee)
A super talented musician, pants-melting actor, triple j radio personality, and fantastically coiffured serial tweeter Brendan Maclean will be on hand to rouse the crowd all night long.

GiRLTHING DJS
The super selectors behind Sydney’s rowdiest club-for-the-ladies, Cunningpants, Natnoiz and BenLucid, will be serving up tunes in the Atrium and Silent Disco.

Date Roulette!
Sign-up to be matched up with random hot singles for mini-dates around the Museum! You could be dancing in the Silent Disco, learning about Indigenous Australia, playing ping pong, hula hooping, meeting stick insects, or even a live dinosaur. See someone you like in the crowd? Leave them a message of love or sexy times on our Chalk Floor!

Prehistoric Photo Booth
Immortalise your newfound love for all eternity – or indulge in your Drag Queen/Drag Kingside – with our Instagram-linked Prehistoric Photo Booth.

Roller Derby Babes
Hot babes doing battle on four wheels.

Plus! Queer burlesque star Diesel Darling, Drag King Memphis Mae and boylesque babe Jester Schrodinger Smilez!

And there will also be live indie-pop/folk from Julia and the Deep Sea Sirens and Jack Colwell and the Owls, DJ Gabby in the Rave Cave, Museum experts imparting scientific knowledge, drinks and dinner from the gourmet bars and cafes, all in the grown-up playground of the Museum.
