These programs are specifically for LGBTIQ parents.

Rainbow Families is set to begin hosting Parenting Programs specifically for LGBTIQ parents at the beginning of October.

This seminar series, known as Triple P, is specifically for parents of children aged 3-8 who want to brush up on their parenting skills while finding new ways of dealing with children’s behaviour. Parents will learn the Triple P approach of dealing with behavioural challenges.

The course culminates with a lunch for the whole family and a workshop on addressing parenting issues that are specific to LGBTIQ parents, such as dealing with homophobia directed at family, coming out to teachers and other parents at school and dealing with a child’s disclosure about their family.

These Parenting Programs are also a chance to meet other same sex and gender diverse parents while learning new skills and gaining information about further support.

Seminars will run in the Inner West of Sydney and Western Sydney.
