TV personalities will add sparkle to this year’s Honour Awards.

Some of Australia’s leading TV personalities are set to add some sparkle to this year’s Honour Awards , NSW’s annual LGBTI* community service awards.

SBS presenters/journalists Ricardo Goncalves and Patrick Abboud will co-host the awards ceremony and will be joined on stage by Channel 7 Morning Show host Kylie Gillies who will present the Media Award following her role as a celebrity judge for the category.

Other high profile personalities from the government, media, entertainment and community sectors will also be attending and will be announced closer to the event.

They’ll join the 30 finalists and over 300 guests for an inspirational evening that recognises outstanding achievements within or contributions to NSW’s LGBTI community.

The awards are also a gala fundraising event for LGBTI charity Aurora and for ACON, NSW’s leading HIV prevention, HIV support and LGBTI health organisation, and guests will be able to bid on a range of amazing silent auction items including luxury holidays, art, furniture, home wares, and 5-star dining, accommodation and entertainment packages.

Mr Goncalves says: “I’m looking forward to being part of an event which recognises the hard work of individuals and businesses striving to make a difference not just in the LGBTI community, but the community as a whole. Diversity matters.”

Mr Abboud says: “There are so many unsung heroes that work tirelessly to better the lives of people in our communities creating stronger connections for all. The Honour Awards will shine a light on these beautiful beacons of change and I’m honoured to be part of such an incredibly important initiative to celebrate them”
