WonderWomanGal Gadot, star of Wonder Woman, has confirmed that disgraced director and producer, Brett Ratner, will not be involved in Wonder Woman 2.

This follows reports that Gadot had threatened not to take part in the sequel if Ratner were to remain on board.

Ratner has faced multiple allegations of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour, including last week’s revelation from Ellen Page that he outed her at just 18 years old. Page revealed that Ratner said to a woman 10 years her senior that she should “fuck her [Page] to make her realise she’s gay”.

Anna Paquin, who is openly bisexual, reinforced Page’s claim on Twitter, stating, “I was there when that comment was made. I stand with you”.

Gadot stated that she is opposed to Ratner benefiting from her work because of the numerous allegations now made against him.

In an interview with NBC’s Today show, Gadot said, “The truth is, there’s so many people involved in making this movie, it’s not just me, and they all echoed the same sentiments.”

“Everyone knew what was the right thing to do.”
