The Rainbow Ok Foundation has been formed in the memory of our friend and loved member of the LGBTIQ community ‘Daryl’ aka ‘Alaska St James’. RIP March 2014. Daryl’s passing from complications of an existing heart condition has been the catalyst for his friends to start the “Rainbow OK Foundation” for the community run by the community.

We have all lost many loved LGBTIQS friends including Daryl and his partner Neil who was the impetus for Daryl and his close friends to advocate for mental health in the LGBTIQS community and the idea that became the Rainbow OK Foundation was suggested by Daryl, aka Alaska who actively supported the Rainbow Ok? BBQ events.

Our mission is to provide direction and support in Brisbane and across Australia for those who may feel in need or lost as an LGBTIQS person, with events and safe spaces like the Bi-Monthly Rainbow OK? BBQ’s for fellowship and support as well as raising much needed finance for organizations that provide mental health services.
