Don’t miss a festival that highlights the diversity of New Orleans.

A fantastic weekend of events for the LGBT community in New Orleans has been organized by the New Orleans Pride Festival and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC). 2016 will be the 6th consecutive year that the New Orleans Pride Festival has been held since Hurricane Katrina.

Each year, people travel across the nation to visit New Orleans for a weekend of top-tier music, entertainment, a parade, legendary New Orleans cuisine, an atmosphere of acceptance, and one of the premier fundraising events of the year.

Director of New Orleans Pride Chris Leonard said, “The entire weekend is a celebration of over-the-top events that celebrate diversity.”

Volunteer opportunities are available for several events, including carrying the 100+ foot long rainbow flag in the Pride Parade. Any business or organization can register and have a walking group or float in the Pride Parade.

The only ticketed events are the Kick-off Event and the HRC Louisiana Gala. All other events are free and open to the public.
