Singers from the Brisbane Lesbian and Gay Pride Choir will tour Ireland and the UK to perform in Various Voices, Europe’s largest GLBTI choral festival.

In June, singers from our choir will tour Ireland and the UK to perform in Europe’s largest GLBTI choral festival, Various Voices.

‘We are excited to be one of two Australian choirs, along with Canberra, that will be performing at this year’s Various Voices festival in Dublin,’ said David Hardy, Choir President. ‘Gloria, Dublin’s Lesbian and Gay Choir is hosting this event and expecting more than 2,000 singers, principally from GLBTI choirs across Europe.’

Our choir will perform twice during the Dublin festival, on Friday, 13 June at the Mahoney Hall, Dublin City University and on the next day, along with the Canberra Gay and Lesbian Qwire at Dublin City Hall. Before Dublin, our Choir will visit Leeds in West Yorkshire where we will be hosted by and sing with the local GLBTI chorus, Gay Abandon.

‘We have created a show featuring a range of Australian music to perform in Dublin and Leeds,’ said Hardy. ‘This is part of our bigger concert in Brisbane which will be held on 17 May, the International Day against homophobia, biphobia and transphobia.’
