Are you an established author or always wanted to publish your work?  Do you know a great Australian talent, who you like to nominate?

Nominations and self-nominations are now open till 31st December 2021.

How will it work?

Nominations are now open to the LOTL Writing Contest. To nominate (or self-nominate) simply email [email protected] or provide a media link with your work.

For Self-Nominations: submit your FINAL work via a media link or email us.

If you are a SPOKEN WORDS Artist you can book (FREE of Charge) into Studio 2 (every Thursday till 31st Dec 2021) to record your work for submission.

Please include your name and Pen Name, contact details, location, the genre of writing, bio and photo. ( If you don’t have a photo and you are in Sydney, book into our FREE Portrait Photography – every Tuesday (sponsored by Studio 2, Potts Point).

For Nominations, email the author’s name, social media details and if known, management details. All Nominations will be kept confidential.

Submit your work by 31st December 2021

All nominations will be considered*:

  • Short Story (300 words minimum – 1000 words maximum)
  • Spoken Words (Submit a Video) (not more than 500 – 700 words)

*to be considered, the copy must have no spelling/ grammar mistakes, stay within the word count and follow the theme ‘ unconditional love. 

Judging

5 Judges (TBA) will be judging the short story submissions, while the public will vote on the Spoken Words submissions.

The Winners

Winners for both categories will be announced at a live event in Sydney in late February 2022. The winner’s work will be published and promoted throughout the LOTL platforms.

This is an exclusive LGBTQI+ event with a particular focus on LOTL’s reader demographic.
