The Pinnacle Foundation

Providing much needed support to LGBTIQ+ students.

The Pinnacle Foundation has been established to provide scholarships to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex and Queer students who are marginalised or disavantaged. We saw a big need in the LGBT+ community that was not being met.

Many young LGBTI+ can face a tough time – coming out to their families, friends and schools, with some finding themselves without the money and support needed to keep up their studies. Bullying, social isolation, physical and mental abuse leads many of these young, vulnerable individuals to a life of dislocation and separation, with many living on the streets.

We know from our own experience that having completed an education can make a big difference in this world. We know that with hope for the future, it is possible to leave those problems behind, and move on to fulfilling and productive lives. Pinnacle wants to help encourage young LGBTI+ to make something of their lives so that they can act as future role models for others

No matter what an applicant’s interest or vocation might be, – Actor, musician, doctor or architect; chef, accountant, lawyer, banker or engineer – whatever they aspire to be, Pinnacle aims to offer the financial support and resources to help them get there.

In 2017, The Pinnacle Foundation is proud to announce it is providing scholarships and mentoring to 29 new and continuing LGBT+ scholars. You find more out about them here.

With the end of the financial here, why not donate to The Pinnacle Foundation, as we prepare to open our applications in the second half of the year for our scholarships to be awarded in 2018.
