2014 Sglba Scholarships Now OpenSydney Gay & Lesbian Business Association Inc. (SGLBA) are offering a maximum of two $2,000 scholarships to university or TAFE students who are studying business/ commerce related courses

The Sydney Gay & Lesbian Association (SGLBA) has been supporting the LGBTQI business community since 1981.

The SGLBA Scholarship Program will provide a maximum of two $2,000 scholarships in the 2014 academic year for students who identify as members of the LGBTQI community.

The Scholarships are open to students studying a Business/Commerce related course who have completed a minimum of one year’s full time study. To qualify, applicants must be full time students at a University or TAFE in the greater Sydney area.

Applicants must submit their written application addressing the following selection criteria:

1.  Details of the course in which they are enrolled

2.  Details of their past academic performance including certified copies of academic transcripts

3.  Confirm that they identify as a member of the LGBTQI community

4.  Provide a statement (maximum 2 A4 pages) of how they believe they could strengthen the

LGBTQI community at either their place of study or in the wider community

5.  Provide any other detail they feel will assist the SGLBA in considering their application
