Love Like Hate’ To Tour Australia

Brisbane queer band is set to deliver on their signature pop darkness with a new EP and UK signing.

Love Like Hate; the queer musical combo has been awarded lofty comparisons with other female artists such as Yeahs, Mazzy Star, PJ Harvey and The Pretenders. Heather Cheketri and Sonja Ter Horst are set to return to the public eye with a brand new EP and a significant signing announcement.

Returning home from a European tour with an exclusive signing with independent music giant Rough Trade Publishing (Violent Femmes, Le Tigre, Godspeed You Black Emperor!), Brisbane-based female ensemble Love Like Hate are set to deliver on their signature pop darkness with their highly anticipated EP ‘Unnoticed’.

The 5-track Unnoticed EP follows on from the celebrated debut, Rabbit Hole. Heather and Sonja have crafted a collection of songs much the same way they storm stages, armed with just an electric guitar and piano, playing in and out of electronic undertones. There is a beautiful dark intensity in how the band approaches to pop. It’s the music you want on the radio on a dark, stormy night. Beautifully erratic and sometimes intense, their sound has a romantically sadistic appeal. Think upbeat music perfectly framing darker lyrical content.

The new EP Unnoticed was produced and recorded by Lachlan Mitchell and engineered by Alan Douche. The music video accompanying the title track was filmed during their recent European adventure and both song and film act as a tribute to a friend of the band.
