Bringing the community together through professional networking and mentoring

Out for Australia, an organisation that supports and mentors aspiring LGBTIQ professionals, has launched in Victoria. Their mentoring program and networking events aim to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for LGBTIQ individuals. First launched as Out for Sydney, the organisation ‘Out for Australia’ has expanded on a national scale.

The Victorian launch held a robust panel discussion on “Diversity in the Workplace” with guests Australian Human Rights Commissioner Tim Wilson, Co-Chair Victorian LGBTI Parliamentary Friendship Group Harriet Shing MLC and GLAM members from Goldman Sachs.

The 2015 Out for Australia Mentoring Program has been designed to support students at all stages of their professional development and includes mentors from a broad range of professional careers. Applications are now open.
