Group of people sitting around a tableThe Southern Sydney branch of Come Out has taken on the St George District and Sutherland Shire.

Sydney’s south has a long and proud gay history, with a number of community groups, services and events (here’s lookin’ at you, Mardi Gras) over many years.

However, the recent closure of the youth group GLYSSN and the decline of the Cronulla Gay Group has left Come Out as one of the only remaining LGBT organizations in Sydney’s South. They say their aim is to “once again raise the rainbow flag proudly in the south.”

Come Out is planning a number of activities and projects and is eager to hear what people want.

Head to the Mortdale Hotel for lunch on the 16th of October 2011 for a discussion on how to make Come Outwork for the community.  Meet the group in the bistro from 12.30 pm onwards.
