What is love?

This year, writer and actor Jess Scott Driksna will bring his full-lenght theatre writing debut Making Love to the stage. As part of the 2017 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras Festival, Making Love will premiere on February 14th the King Street Theatre in Newtown and run until February 25th.

Inspired by the Kate Bush song ‘Deeper Understanding’ and the futuristic world of the film ‘Blade Runner’, Making Love is set in a world where capitalism and science are providing solutions to the dilemma of human loneliness.

The PAXCORP Corporation provides their customers with custom-made synthetic human partners specifically designed to provide everything you’ve ever wanted in a relationship.

Making Love explores themes of the commercialisation of love, the fantasy of being able to consciously choose what will fulfil your every desire and the reality of what actually happens when you get exactly what you’ve asked for.

Making Love asks the question ‘What is love?”
