lesbian-news-newcastle-pride-Fair-DayNewcastle Pride is an inclusive, vibrant, fun, not-for-profit LGBTIQ community-based organisation in Newcastle and Hunter, NSW, Australia.

Following the acclaimed success of our inaugural 2018 Newcastle Pride Fair Day, the second annual Newcastle Pride Fair Day will be held on Saturday, 24th August 2019.

“This Pride celebrates sexuality and gender diversity in Newcastle and the Hunter Region within and outside our community. We work collaboratively to foster LGBTIQ Pride. We are fully inclusive. We collaborate with others within our community and with the wider community. We believe in acceptance; accept people for who they are, for our uniqueness and differences”, said the event coordinators, Lee-Anne McDougall and Ivan Skaines.

The overall Newcastle Pride Festival aims to create and foster belonging, empowerment and visibility for all by celebrating the love and diversity found within our community. The vision is to empower all LGBTIQ people to find their voice, be proud and aspire to a safer, more inclusive future.

The Newcastle Pride Festival is an exciting, glamorous and “out n’ proud” series of events that aims to showcase to locals and visitors that Newcastle is a city of diversity, culture and beauty.

This is an unmissable opportunity to connect with a vast audience, create partnerships and networks with other associated community organisations and help build an inclusive, resilient community. This major event will give your organisation an unparalleled chance to reach the wider community and achieve common objectives and outcomes.

Engagement with Newcastle Pride also demonstrates your community organisation’s dedication to, and value of, diversity and inclusion.

The lineup is full of fantastic events:
