Rack Off Festival Returns For International Women's Day
The festival celebrates International Women’s Day and serves as a fundraiser for at risk women.
YWCA Victoria and the City of Melbourne are proud to present the fourth installment of the Rack Off! music festival, which takes up residence at The Curtin on Saturday 3rd of March.
The festival celebrates International Women’s Day and serves as a fundraiser for the vital services of the YWCA- housing for at-risk women, school programs, health services and programs for girls in foster care.
Curated by YWCA, Rack Off! will feature a selection of female dominated and gender non-conforming bands, artists and DJs as well as free tarot readings, aura paintings and the return of the infamous In the Booth photobooth- there’ll even be a strongwoman competition!
This year’s event will be a landmark occasion for the festival as it welcomes its first international performer, NYC trap queen, QUAY DASH. Alongside her, attendees can look forward to Sydney-based poet, princess and rapper, KIMCHI PRINCI, underground genre-hopping icon ANGIE and her band, Sydney hectic hardcore NASHO, the defiant rock and roll power of CALLAN, the bratty 70’s punk of RABID DOGS and the terrifying experimental noise theatre of Brisbane’s GIRLSUCK.
YWCA is Australia’s longest running feminist and secular women’s organisation, working to educate, empower and support women and their communities through education, mentoring, childcare, sports, cultural activities and in particular, housing for 250+ women across the state.
