Meet the cutest pets ever

And the winners of LOTL’s Cutest Pet Award are...

It was a fierce competition for the most adorable furry friend in Australia. Readers from across the country submitted photos of the most darling pets we’ve ever seen. The LOTL crew was happy voting was left to the public, as we know we couldn’t choose one among all that cuteness.

With an overwhelming amount of votes, the cutest dog award goes to Muffin, a Jack Russell/Mini Foxie cross.

According to LOTL readers, the cutest cat is Summer, a domestic whose charming photo of her napping in her bed won hearts across Australia.

The cats and dogs don't get to have all the fun. In the “other” category the winner is Kotya, the hamburger-loving Ferret. Kotya beat out Pearl, a goldfish and Tarakana, a bearded dragon.

Runners-up for the dog winners were Jindirri and Xenia, and it was a close call for the cats, with the Ginger Boy King George nearly winning and PJ the wide-eyed tabby coming in third.
