Looks like we're in for some steamy scenes from a couple of our our fave Aussie actresses.

According to Deadline, Cate Blanchett and Mia Wasikowska will star in a forthcoming adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's "The Price of Salt."

Lesbian readers in the know will remember this book for its notorious lesbian storyline, which centers around Therese Belivet, a twenty-something woman just starting out in New York, and Carol, an older and elegant stranger.

The film, entitled "Carol," is meant to delve more into their complex relationship. Production for the film is scheduled to begin early next year in London and New York.
