11th Annual Arab Film Festival

Cinefiles may want to catch the Annual Arab Film Festival when it lands in Sydney and Melbourne at the end of the month

 

 

The 11th annual Arab Film Festival will travel to Sydney, Melbourne and Canberra from June 28 -July 15. On show a range of the best of Arab cinema.

Amongst the short films on offer is a movie by local lesbian and Newtown resident Tania Safi. Safis's film, Trab Laus is a a hand drawn animation is about a young woman who leaves her comfortable Sydney life behind when she goes to visit her Nana who lives in an impoverished area of Tripoli...
