UnitingCare Burnside is a member of the UnitingCare Children, Young People and Families Service Group of UnitingCare NSW.ACT. Begun in 1911, when the first home was opened at North Parramatta for orphaned and abandoned children, Uniting Care Burnside has a long tradition of offering Foster Placement for children in need. Today they are one of the largest providers of child and family services in New South Wales and in 2010 Burnside worked with 13,000 children, young people and family members.

UnitingCare Burnside is embracing of Foster Care placements within the LGBT community and this month will be holding an information session led by one of their Gay foster carers aimed at answering your qustions about the foster process. So if you have a spare room and have been contemplating the foster process - but aren't sure what it entails then why not attend this session?
