The Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras is the most attended event. The Parade see hundreds of thousands flocking to Sydney’s Oxford Street for a mix of politics, revealing costumes, buffed bodies, flamboyance and celebration.
The exhibition features portraits of seven older Australians who identify as LGBTI, expressing their thoughts and feelings about finding a ‘sense of place’ in a world where ‘different’ bodies, relationships and sexualities are often misunderstood and disrespected.
Lesbians Incorporated (LInc) is committed to supporting lesbians and lesbian-friendly groups in Australia. LInc has established a community grants program to give out $10,000 in grants (up to $1000 per grant) per round.
