Urzila Carlson Returns For Melbourne International Comedy Festival

Queer comic Carlson's new show is a jam-packed hour of witticism.

One of New Zealand’s best-loved comedians needs no introduction. Urzila Carlson is returning to this year’s Melbourne International Comedy Festival with her brand new show, Man Up, a jam-packed hour of witticism.

Man Up explores society’s expectations of a man when he becomes a husband and a father – especially if that man is a lady. Urzila examines gender roles, sexual roles and ham rolls, all while demonstrating how to have a cup of cement and harden up – because big boys don’t cry, right?

This will be Urzila’s fourth year at the MICF. She previously performed during sold out seasons in 2013, 2014, and 2015.
