Last year, the Gay & Lesbian Counselling Service (GLCS) of NSW merged with Twenty10 to become Twenty10 incorporating GLCS NSW.

All of GLCS’s adult groups have continued running in the merged organization, which is now at our new home on Level 1, 45 Chippen Street, Chippendale NSW.

The adult groups are all open groups which means you don’t have to register beforehand or commit to attending each time. You can just turn up on the day. The workshops are free of charge and are facilitated by trained volunteers.  Tea, coffee and snacks are provided. All our groups are drug- and alcohol-free spaces.

There are currently four different adult groups running and include:

Women’s Coming Out Group: Fortnightly Thursdays 7.00pm – 9.00pm - (next groups 11 July, 25 July, 8 August and so on)

A social support discussion group for women who are exploring or coming to terms with their sexual identity or, if already identifying as lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer or same-sex-attracted, a place to meet and discuss relevant topics in a non-threatening space.

SMART Recovery: Weekly Mondays (except public holidays) 6.00pm – 7.30pm

A self-help group for people recovering from alcohol, drug use and other addictive behaviours that teaches practical skills to help you deal with problems and achieve a healthy lifestyle balance. Our SMART Recovery group has a special focus for people of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities (e.g. people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer, same-sex attracted or questioning).

Social Saturdays: 3rd Saturday of the month (except December) 4.30pm – 6.30pm - (next groups 20 July, 17 Aug, 21 Sept and so on)

A monthly social group and meeting place for people of diverse genders, sexes and sexualities (e.g. LGBTIQ). Social Saturdays is a relaxed space with activities like board games/cards or watching short films, or just come in for a chat over a cup of tea.

Talking It Out Men’s Discussion Group: Fortnightly Thursdays 7.00pm – 9.00pm - (next groups 4 July, 18 July, 1 Aug and so on)

A social support discussion group for men who identify as gay, bisexual, queer, same-sex-attracted, or exploring their sexuality, to meet and talk about various topics around sexuality and other life issues in a non-threatening space.
