ALL ABOUT E Launching In Cinemas Near You!

“It’s been more than 20 years since Priscilla: Queen of the Desert sashayed into cinemas, and no homegrown queer film has had a similar impact since. But this looks set to change with this surprise runaway hit on the queer film festival circuit.”

Following sell out screenings at Australian and international film festivals, the lesbian road movie ALL ABOUT E will launch its cinema season with a premiere in far west NSW at Trundle, where the film was shot earlier this year, on Saturday October 28.

Louise Wadley directs Mandahla Rose and Julia Billington in this sexy, funny, rollicking Aussie crime film with strong lesbian characters and a rollercoaster plot that weaves in complex issues about identity, family and sexuality.

The Trundle event launches the film’s unconventional cinema release.  Cinema on demand screenings, via the TUGG platform, will take the film on a national tour through Queensland, Victoria, NSW, South Australia and Western Australia between October 28 and Christmas.

“The people of Trundle could not have been more friendly or welcoming to our cast and crew even if, on occasion, they were a little bemused by the film’s content. So, following screenings at film festivals in the US and in Sydney, we are thrilled to be beginning our national cinema release with a Trundle premiere,” said director Louise Wadley.

ALL ABOUT E stars Mandahla Rose as young Arabic-Australian Elmira, or E as she insists on being called. E seems to have it all. She's a hot sexy DJ at Sydney's top gay nightclub and has her pick of the girls. But E doesn't have a clue about how much of a mess her life has become. She's not out to her traditional Lebanese family, she's abandoned her beloved music and she's lost Trish, the one relationship that really matters to her. When she stumbles on a stash of cash, she and her best friend and husband of convenience, Matt, are forced to run. But E finds she has burnt too many bridges, and there is nowhere to run but outback Australia and the arms of the ex-girlfriend who broke her heart. Can she keep the money, conquer her demons, AND get the girl?

Other cast members include Brett Rogers, Julia Billington, Simon Bolton, Kim Antonios-Hayes and Lex Marino.
