Nude Pics Of Stella And Kristen Leaked, Halsey Trolled After Posing For Playboy
NFL Coach Comes Out As Lesbian
Nude Photos of Kristen Stewart and Stella Maxwell Leaked!
A mouth-breathing creep broke into Stella Maxwell’s phone and leaked half-naked pictures of the model and her girlfriend, Kristen Stewart. The women wasted no time siccing lawyers on the unknown hacker. Can we talk frankly? I know that for some of you, this news will unleash an internal struggle between good and evil. On one side lies a feminist who understands that this is a gross invasion of a woman’s privacy, and that looking at nude pictures of a woman without her consent is a grotesque violation. On the other thrashes a lesbian who would very much like to see KStew sans clothes. There’s nothing wrong with that interest. I myself share it. But now is not the time. Show your respect, not just for celesbians, but for women everywhere, and avoid these photos like the plague.
Besides, Kristen Stewart and Stella Maxwell are an actress and a model respectively. It’s only a matter of time before they consensually show their boobs in the name of art. Without consent, there is only exploitation.
Halsey Gets Trolled After Posing Topless for Playboy
Speaking of consensually showing your boobs, Halsey is on the cover of Playboy! The bisexual singer rocked a mesh pink top that would almost certainly look stupid on you. Life isn’t fair, is it? A few followers weren’t impressed by spread, questioning why a self-proclaimed feminist would pose half naked for a lad mag. Halsey responded by slapping down to commenters, then screenshotting and posting the entire interaction on Instagram so followers would know exactly what she thinks of slut shaming.
I find the juxtaposition of this to the Stella/Kristen photos highly relevant. Both involve topless photos of queer women. In the first situation, the photos were intended to be private. In the second situation, they were taken specifically for public consumption. In the first situation, they were taken and shared against their subjects will, an illegal invasion of privacy severe enough for Kristen and Stella to take legal action. In the second situation, Halsey chose to be photographed topless while at the top of her game. She just had a #1 album and covered several other magazines; she in no way needs to publicity. Halsey did Playboy for no one but herself, and clearly finds empowerment in nudity.
Two sets of photos with very similar content. One bad. One good. This could be a lesson in the politics of nudity and the relevance of consent.
Cara Delevingne Co-Stars In The Bizarre Tulip Fever
CARA DELEVIGNE IN TULIP FEVER; CREDIT: THE WEINSTEIN COMPANY
You know what I love about Cara Delevingne? Other than her mind-blowing beauty and absurdly cool style? Girl is interesting. She does new things. Two weeks ago, she pretending to write mediocre YA. Today, she is topless in a notoriously delayed, bizarre Danish bodice ripper. She’s weird in the best possible way. Shot in 2014 and then delayed for three years, Tulip Fever debuted with a snort last weekend. Viewers were more interested in the juicy production story of re-edits, push backs, and rebranding, than the actual movie, which is either terrible, bad, or not very good, depending on who you ask. Cara Delevingne plays a thieving prostitute. I can already detect the razzies. We really can’t hold Tulip Fever against Cara. She was a much less established actress in 2014, and the cast is filled with award-winners like Judi Dench and Alicia Vikander who thought they were making an important historical drama and ended up in a mean joke.
First Trans L'oreal Spokesperson Lasts 2 Days
It’s all about the racism. But whose? L’Oréal scored glowing headlines when they hired Munroe Bergdorf, a trans model, DJ, and activist, as a UK spokeswoman for a new line of “diverse” foundation. They were thrilled, Munroe was thrilled, everyone was thrilled...for roughly 48 hours. Then L’Oréal fired Munroe after discovering controversial comments she made online about race. Now Munroe is pissed and calling for a boycott.
Munroe posted the comments on Facebook in response to the violent protests in Charlottesville. She wrote:
“Honestly I don't have energy to talk about the racial violence of white people any more. Yes ALL white people. Because most of ya'll don't even realise or refuse to acknowledge that your existence, privilege and success as a race is built on the backs, blood and death of people of colour. Your entire existence is drenched in racism. From micro-aggressions to terrorism, you guys built the blueprint for this shit. Come see me when you realise that racism isn't learned, it's inherited and consciously or unconsciously passed down through privilege. Once white people begin to admit that their race is the most violent and oppressive force of nature on Earth… then we can talk. Until then stay acting shocked about how the world continues to stay f***** at the hands of your ancestors and your heads that remain buried in the sand with hands over your ears.”
L’Oréal released a statement saying “We support diversity and tolerance towards all people irrespective of their race, background, gender and religion. The Paris True Match campaign is a representation of these values... We believe that the recent comments by Munroe Bergdorf are at odds with those values, and as such we have taken the decision to end the partnership with her.”
Ruby Rose Donates To Houston LGBT Center, Faces Idiot Backlash
No good deed goes unpunished. Ruby Rose joined the fundraising effort for Hurricane Harvey victims by donating $10,000 to the Houston LGBT center and challenging her fans to match the donation. The LGBT center was damaged by flooding and needs funds to offer services to Houston’s LGBT community. Shockingly, some people had a problem with Rose’s donation. These very small, petty people took to Instagram, the high citadel of pettiness, to shoot venom at Ruby Rose for... Not helping straight people? They took issue with Rose donating to an LGBTQ specific charity, calling her “disgusting” and “sad.”
This is absurd. Non-LGBT charities in Houston are receiving plenty, if not most of the donations from celebrities and normal people alike. Including the Red Cross, an organization that sells blood for profit and hides their high overhead to mislead the public about how much of their donations actually go to charitable work. You can bet your ass that Christians are specifically donating to Christian charities and will not be troubled in the slightest by the plight of non-Christian victims, much less the LGBT community that Texans show an overwhelming amount of hatred towards. Ruby Rose responded to the backlash with a remarkable amount of poise and grace, explaining why she donated to the LGBT Center (they will help victims who might be turned away elsewhere), and revealing that she donated to an animal charity and another 10,000 to the Montrose LGBT Center.
Ruby Rose continually proves herself to be a kind, generous person who cares deeply about our community. She’s the sort of celebrity I really like.
NFL Coach Katie Sowers Comes Out
Katie Sowers, Assistant Coach of the San Francisco 49ers, came out as gay in an interview with Outsports. As the second female NFL coach in history, Sowers is a groundbreaking badass who takes zero shit. She played for the US national team and Kansas City Titans before a hip injury pushed her from playing to coaching. Sowers climbed the ladder steadily, first as the Titans’ General Manager, then breaking into the NFL as an intern with the Atlanta Falcons. But being an openly gay athlete is far from easy. Sowers was rejected from one volunteer coaching position for being gay. “That moment really impacted me because it was the first time I truly felt judged because of my sexual orientation. I was so passionate about coaching and to feel like my opportunities were limited because of who I loved was hard to deal with. However, without that experience I would not be where I am today,” she told Outsports.
While interning with the Atlanta Falcons in 2016, Sowers incredible work ethic was noticed by then Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan. When the 49ers hired Shanahan as Head Coach this year, he wanted Sowers by his side. Sowers took an internship with the 49ers. The internship lead to a full time job as Assistant Coach in 2017. Sowers tackled injury, discrimination, and an unpaid internship and created opportunity, becoming a role model for female athletes, coaches, and the lesbian community in the process.
“No matter what you do in life, one of the most important things is to be true to who you are, Sowers said. “There are so many people who identify as LGBT in the NFL, as in any business, that do not feel comfortable being public about their sexual orientation. The more we can create an environment that welcomes all types of people, no matter their race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, the more we can help ease the pain and burden that many carry every day.”
Carmilla Movie Drops New Trailer
It feels like just yesterday Carmilla, the little mega hit lesbian web series that could, wrapped its final season and left fans around the world screaming for more. Seriously, the day it wrapped my social media feed looked like a particularly grim funeral procession. The Carmilla movie emerged as a faraway glimmer of light for stans to anticipate. And now, we have the first full-length trailer! The Carmilla Movie drops October 26th, 2017, so get excited by this sexy, highly Victorian trailer. I’m stoked to see what happens when you take a one room web series and turn it into a full length, well-funded feature. The trailer is exceptionally gorgeous, teeming with deep, lush colors and moody romance. I think we’re going to see a whole new level of Carmilla.

The NYC based group are launching “90’s Albums Live!” a musical event series at Arlene’s Grocery in New York City. They’ll be performing iconic 90’s albums with rotating cast of guest bands in what Moore is calling “an immersive fan experience.” The first show is on September 15th and will feature the soundtrack to Empire Records played by It Was Romance and Jounce (fronted by 90’s Nickelodeon star Danny Tamberelli).
